Nuclear Medicine Radiologist
The Nuclear Medicine Division of the Department of Radiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas is seeking a board-certified Nuclear Medicine Physician or board-certified/board-eligible Diagnostic Radiologist with fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine. Faculty candidates must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree, be eligible or certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) OR American Board of Radiology (ABR) with a CAQ in Nuclear Medicine. The ideal candidate should be proficient in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine including cardiac imaging. They should also have experience in performing targeted radionuclide therapies. The applicant must be eligible for medical licensure in Arkansas.
Our clinical practice includes a high volume of PET/CT and a busy nuclear medicine service with a full range of therapeutic procedures, cardiac nuclear medicine, and general diagnostic nuclear imaging. The Division affords excellent opportunities for research, deriving especially from our strong collaborative relationships with the Department of Biomedical Informatics, the Winthrop Rockefeller Cancer Institute, and the Myeloma Institute. The Division has 3 Nuclear Medicine specialists, with 40 residents and fellows in ACGME-approved categories. We were among the first programs in the country to list and fill a combined diagnostic radiology and 16-month nuclear medicine residency pathway. Our facilities include 4 gamma cameras, SPECT/CT, and 2 PET/CT scanners. Our radiology faculty offer expertise across key divisions including Body Imaging, Breast Imaging, Body MRI/MSK, Interventional Neuroradiology, Interventional Radiology, Neuroradiology, Radiology Sciences and Pediatric Radiology
