Our team includes 175 radiologists, 30 advanced practice providers, and more than 175 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. Our leadership roles are filled by radiologists who will work side-by-side with you on your clinical shifts, and are elected to the positions by partners within the group. There is no external leadership directing us without experiencing and understanding the day-to-day reality of our work demands and requirements.
What we do: We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan’s largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health. American College of Radiology has designated Corewell a Diagnostic Center for Excellence
What we are looking for: We are seeking candidates for a full-time, partnership track Nuclear Radiologist position onsite in Grand Rapids, Michigan or REMOTE.
Responsibilities for Grand Rapids based role:
Dedicate 60-80% of clinical time to Nuclear Imaging, with 40-60% on-site shifts depending on scheduling needs
Interpretation of PET/CT
Diagnostic nuclear medicine
Supervise therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
Balance of time will be determined based on preference but may include cross sectional, ER or general imaging shifts
Resident Teaching – including DR and IR residents
Responsibilities for Remote role:
Nuclear Imaging responsibilities will be ~40%
Balance of the time will be determined based on preference but may include cross sectional, ER or general imaging shifts
Resident teaching virtually if desired
Participate in multi-disciplinary tumor board once a week on average
Requirements:
American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology certified
Completion of a nuclear medicine fellowship or a certificate of added qualification in Nuclear Medicine
Compensation/Benefits: We offer a $50K recruitment incentive (sign on bonus), competitive compensation plan, stipends for on-site shifts, and opportunities for additional shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians pay $0 for single or family medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually. We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan ($72,000 in 2026). We offer 13 weeks of vacation for our standard track positions, and we have a brand new 6-week paid parental leave benefit!
Why do you want to do telerad for us? Although we are based in Michigan, we have a well-established teleradiology practice. We had remote physicians prior to COVID, and currently have physicians working in 14 states. We utilize Intelerad PACS, PowerScribe 360, and InteleOrchestrator (formerly Clario); we have outstanding IT infrastructure and 24/7 help desk support. Our remote radiologists are encouraged to participate in virtual section, committee, and board meetings, and their input is essential to our practice decisions. You will have outstanding colleagues working virtually by your side who can be consulted with very strong sub-specialization to help you, including dedicated MSK, Pediatric, Neuroradiology, and Body readers.
